Julia Groenfeldt, a volunteer with New Lands Farm
enjoyed learning about the food traditions of the refugee farmers and went to their homes to learn how to cook their favorite dishes. She compiled their recipes into a cookbook to share with the farmers. Now beautifully illustrated and published, the cookbook will be on sale at the New Lands Farm market stands this summer! It features many of the ethnic vegetables grown at New Lands Farm including mchicha (amaranth), mustard greens, and squash leaves, along with traditional recipes to prepare and cook them. Visit the farmers at market this season
to pick one up for your global kitchen!
